Description

Earthquake MQB-1 300 W. TRANSDUCER FOR HOME THEATER AND GAMERS, MULTI-MOUNT/ BRACKET (8 OHM) EACH

The MQB-1 tactile transducer or bass shaker transmits subsonic bass frequencies and vibrations into an object it’s mounted to. It can supplement or replace traditional subwoofers and is ideal for situations where headphones must be used. Like conventional subwoofers, it receives its signal from the LFE output and can be amplified by an amplifier (XJ-300ST). It is suitable for home theater, music, and gaming applications. Installing it on a gaming chair provides an immersive experience by generating massive amounts of vibration.

How exactly does a tactile transducer work?

Tactile transducers, also known as “bass shakers,” are remarkable devices that operate on the principle that subsonic bass frequencies can be heard and felt. The mechanism of a tactile transducer involves transmitting low frequency vibrations into the object to which it is mounted. Typically, these transducers are installed on couches or chairs, transferring the vibrations to the body and providing a tactile sound experience.

One of the most significant advantages of tactile transducers is their ability to supplement or even replace traditional subwoofers. By conveying the low-frequency vibrations directly to the furniture or seating area, these devices deliver a more immersive and impactful audio experience. This technology is particularly advantageous in environments where headphones are necessary, as tactile transducers can provide bass and impact without disturbing the surrounding space.

Home theater and music applications

A tactile transducer gets its signal from the LFE output, which is also used by traditional subwoofers. This signal is amplified by an amplifier, which drives the tactile transducer. It articulates the low frequency effect and is very powerful and precise. The tactile transducer easily integrates with your existing subwoofer, complementing it in the lowest frequencies.

For gaming applications

Tactile transducers are an explosive way to generate massive amounts of vibration, which brings you right into the game world. Installing an Earthquake tactile device on your gaming chair will provide an incredible interactive experience. With massive percussion power and Earthquake’s patented 3D Motion™ technology, the shakers bring user immersion to a new level. With impact energy far exceeding that of any consumer shaker, gamers of all types will experience an unprecedented tactile response.
